About McKay
McKay Gordon, CCEP, AAC (they/them) is a somatic practitioner, clinical counselor, and group facilitator based in Seattle, WA. Their work centers the body as a site of wisdom, healing, and transformation. Trauma lives in the body—but so do joy, resilience, and the stories of our lives. McKay helps clients process emotion through embodied awareness and engage a person’s innate intelligence as a pathway to healing.
A graduate of Yale University, McKay studied Somatic Psychotherapy at Naropa University and holds certifications in Somatic Attachment Therapy from EmbodyLab and The Evolutionary Power Institute. They have trained in embodied spirituality and Body-Mind Psychotherapy with Susan Aposhyan, international leader in somatic psychotherapy, and bring over 10,000 clinical hours to their work.
McKay is an artist, activist, and formerly worked as an interior designer in Los Angeles, CA. In 2016, they founded Motion As Potion, a trauma-informed, body liberation dance project. They live and work on Coast Salish land of the Duwamish and Suquamish.
McKay is committed to anti-racism practice and cultivating inclusive, equitable spaces for BIPOC, trans and queer communities.
